Emily Taffel-Cohen is the founder and co-owner of Mugsy PR, a public relations and marketing agency that specializes in traditional media outreach and digital and experiential marketing. Emily has been in the industry for over 15 years, working with clients like Disney on Ice, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, Masha and the Bear, Ritz Carlton and the Hilton Brand Hotels, Celebrity Chef Robyn Almodovar, The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show and many more. She has placed clients in local, national and international outlets ranging from niche publications such as Bust Magazine and Golf Digest to household names like the Today Show, Ellen, Forbes and more. Marie Speed, Marie Speed has been group editor of all JES publications, including Boca Raton, DelrayBeach, Worth Avenue, Mizner’s Dream and the annual publication for the Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce for 25 some years; during that time, she has won numerous awards for the magazines, and has garnered a broad base of community support. (She also oversees editorial operations of the company’s Salt Lake City magazines on an as-needed basis.
Dia Ryan takes over the mic Monday through Friday from 10a to 2pm on The New HITS 97.3, Cox Media Group’s Top 40 station in Miami. Dia is a gator alum who studied Telecom. News and always had a love for all things entertainment. While studying to be a reporter and anchor at the University of Florida, Dia fell into radio and began her career at Party 100.9, an Electronic Music station. She was later promoted to a Top 40 station in Ocala, an Adult Contemporary station in West Palm, and is finally living her dream in the city she was raised… Miami! Outside of her work in radio, Dia loves cooking, traveling, working out, fashion, and has worked with multiple dog rescues. She also teaches classes and workshops for students looking to have a career in television and radio at the Connecticut School of Broadcasting.
Miranda Christian is a reporter for WPTV that covers South Palm Beach County. She is a Colorado native and she has worked in Tulsa, OK, and Omaha, NE before moving to Florida.

Brian Bandell is the senior reporter at the South Florida Business Journal, where he covers primarily real estate and health care. He has won more than 25 journalism awards. He’s also a published novelist signed to Silver Leaf Books. His new novel “Silence the Living” will be featured at the Miami Book Fair in November.
