An all day session of women empowerment and motivation. Opening Remarks highlighted that this would be learning on the go.

Over 500 attendees and a room at its full capacity surrounded by the overwhelming warm ocean breeze.

The morning session started with Ashtin Berry, Food and Beverage Activist, who was able to explore the concept of Intersectionality, connoting the need for Interconnectivity and context behind words, uncensored ourselves as part of advocating for others as well as calling men for conversational sponsorship.

Intermissions were held by Jennifer Cassetta, Clinical Nutritionist and 3 Degree Black Belt, guiding attendance through different techniques of martial arts and meditation to keep the energy flowing. Power poses are always a thing.

Panel discussions included topics such as: Raising Children who value equality, Ascending into leadership- Internal and external Barriers

Some interesting facts regarding our finances were presented by Ashley Feinstein Gerstley, Money Coach and author of 30 money cleanse. Providing 3 easy steps to improve our finances: Keep track of all expenses, Pay yourself first, Throw a money Party(not what it sounds like, dedicate time to review your expenses and make it fun)

The most aggressive panel and most representative of the events hashtags (#bebrave, #unapologetic, #confident) corresponded to the panel for : Women Disrupting the Status Quo and Changing the World.

Shannon Allen, Founder of Grown and Dune Ives, Executive Director of Lonely Whale, were the perfect contrast of how different realities can ignite the passion to overcome and give beyond enough.

The strongest content of the event was provided through this talk these are ladies to follow and be inspired by. Shannon reminded us that been the hero suggest that you don’t need anyone, letting people help even in the small things can create a new dynamic. Dune explained that we need to act more like brands to get people to care, we can take the choice to be comfortable or do what is within our means regarding anything.

Talk about fear and overcoming it, been able to sell a confidence recipe and be openly insecure, this created an aura of empathy and understanding. Heather Monahan, CEO of Boss in Heels led the panel for overcoming setbacks.

An all together well executed event that ended with a Bacardi happy hour for networking along the ocean front terrace.

We are glad to participate in women empowering events and be a part of the offer for the demand of spaces to build together a community of strong individuals.
