ABOUT MARGARITA ARRIAGADA:

MARGARITA ARRIAGADA is an entrepreneurial CEO with the rare ability to envision the future and manage the now. This visionary and strategic balance is showcased in her creation of Valdé, distinctive luxury beauty and lifestyle brand launching Holiday 2020. In her previous role as Strategic Advisor at Top Shelf Consulting (TSC), she collaborated with multiple brands, including Anastasia Beverly Hills, guiding brand positioning, product strategy, regional markets, and category trends.
Before joining TSC, Arriagada served as Chief Merchant of Sephora USA. In this role, she was responsible for Sephora’s long-range merchandising strategy focusing on differentiation, innovation, and elevating client experience. She earned a reputation as an inspirational leader, mentor, and passionate talent developer.

Earlier, as she rose through the executive ranks of the LVMH-owned company, Arriagada penned the vision for Kendo, Sephora’s “owned” brand development arm. Drawing on her Latinx heritage and international product expertise, she was able to help shape a new, more inclusive direction in beauty. Sourcing and negotiating all the brands in Kendo’s portfolio earned her the affectionate nickname, “The Godmother of Beauty.”
Arriagada’s professional career began and flourished in retail—working her way up from the selling floor of Bullock’s department store to Vice President, Decorative Home at Macy’s. Before leaping to the beauty world, Arriagada established herself in home décor. As Vice President of Global Retail at Lladró, she launched international flagships featuring a new, elevated branding experience. She also led global product development for the Valencia, Spain-based collectible brand. She received the National Retail Federation’s “People Shaping Retail’s Future-Power Player Award” in 2015 and The National Mother’s Day Committee, Outstanding Mother Award in 2013.
Arriagada holds a Degree in Merchandising and Interior Design from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM) in Los Angeles. For more info: valdebeauty.com
