Emily Taffel-Cohen Moderates AWCSF Late Lunch Meetup: Celebrating 115 Years of Women’s Empowerment in Communications

The Association for Women in Communications South Florida (AWCSF) is thrilled to announce that Emily Taffel-Cohen, founder of Mugsy PR, and Communications Director for AWCSF, will be moderating our upcoming Late Lunch Meetup on April 24, 2024. As we celebrate 115 years of women’s empowerment in communications, Emily brings her unique perspective and diverse skill set to guide the discussion on the future of women in the industry.

Emily Taffel-Cohen is a true jack-of-all-trades in the world of communications. In addition to her role as the founder of Mugsy PR, she is an experiential event planner, writer, wedding officiant, feminist t-shirt maker, performer, road trip enthusiast, and avid car singer. Her diverse background and passion for trying new things have shaped her approach to communications and leadership.

As the Communications Director for AWCSF, Emily has been instrumental in driving the organization’s mission to empower women in the communications industry through professional development, networking, and advocacy. Her commitment to supporting and uplifting women in the field is evident in her volunteer work with Speak Up For Kids PBC and her role as a stepmom to four incredible humans who inspire her every day.

Emily’s love for adventure and trying new things led her to write her first book, “Don’t Limit Me On What I Can Be,” which aims to inspire children to learn about and be open to all the opportunities life holds. This message of empowerment and limitless potential is one that she brings to her work in communications and her role as a moderator at the AWCSF Late Lunch Meetup.

As a moderator, Emily will guide the discussion between our esteemed panelists, including Terri Nakamura, Rachel Thompson, Angela of GoBrunch and Tonya Scholz, as they explore the trends, opportunities, and innovations shaping the future of women in communications. Her unique perspective and ability to connect with people from all walks of life will undoubtedly lead to an engaging and inspiring conversation.
